Happy New Year! As we put the festive season behind us, what better way to pass the long winter evenings than dreaming about summer: relaxing on deck with the sun on your back and a cool drink in your hand, a gentle breeze in the sails and a new destination on the horizon? Those of you who sailed with us last year have no doubt some happy memories to recall, and I've included a few comments from our visitors' books to revive some of the fun and flavour of those summer days. For readers who haven't yet stepped aboard one of our yachts, I'm sure this will give you a better feel for the experiences we aim to provide than any words I can write myself.

New to our fleet for 2010 is Dark Star, a 90ft Trehard maxi which has been completely re-built by Camper & Nicholson. We sold Dark Star to one of our existing yacht owners in December and we're thrilled to be able to offer such a fabulous sailing yacht for charter. She can accommodate up to eight guests in total comfort, and her two bunk cabins make her ideal for those whose children would like to bring friends or for two families holidaying together.

Dark Star will be cruising the Côte d'Azur, Corsica and Sardinia during summer 2010, as well as crossing to the Caribbean for the 2010/11 winter season. Matt will Captain her, with Trish as Chef and Chief Stewardess.

Our Jeanneau 54DS Kallista is currently for sale as her owner has now bought a larger yacht (Dark Star). As those of you who've sailed on her know, she's in immaculate condition and has the same long list of extra equipment as our other yachts. Kallista has been with Dream Sailing since we commissioned her in 2007. She's ideal if you like the idea of owning a yacht yourself without any of the hard work, as we'll be delighted to continue managing her as part of our charter fleet.
